What is the Helene and Dennis Sparger Center for Performing Arts?
A 501(c)(3) public charity providing accessible, high-quality performing arts education and performance opportunities for Metro East Illinois. We serve aspiring performers and behind-the-scenes professionals alike.
Where are you located?
At 120 N. Jackson St., Belleville, Illinois. We are proud to have acquired the building and event space formerly known as Belle Court Place.
Are my donations tax-deductible?
Yes. We are a registered 501(c)(3). Federal Tax ID (EIN): 99-0926561.
What ages do you serve?
K-8 core classes, with opportunities for teens through masterclasses, productions and college audition prep courses. Adult community members can join select programs and productions.
What kinds of classes do you offer?
Acting, voice, musical theatre dance and instrumental, plus technical theatre: stage management, lighting and sound operation, costuming, and design.
Do you offer summer camps or incentives?
Our goal moving forward is to be able to provide summer camps and incentives, although we do not atm.
Do you host performances?
Yes. We present youth productions, a spot-light shows, community and seasonal events that invite cross-generational participation.
How can I volunteer?
We love volunteers for front-of-house, costumes, sets, and events. Send us a message to sign up and complete a quick orientation.
How can businesses sponsor or name a space or item?
Our corporate sponsorships include naming opportunities for the auditorium, classrooms, sound system, dance floor, stage, and more. Request the sponsorship kit by sending us a message or click on the “Donate Now” button on our site.
