The Beginning
It started with an idea
In Metro East, the performing arts have always been a dream worth pursuing. But for too long, young performers and backstage hopefuls have had to travel miles away—crossing state lines—to access the training opportunities they deserve. That’s where Sparger Performing Arts Center comes in.
The lightbulb moment
Changing The Game Locally
SCPA was born out of a simple, powerful idea: What if our community had its own performing arts mecca?
What if kids didn’t have to spend hours in cars or miss out on world-class training because it wasn’t available close to home?
What if the Metro East became the pillar for exceptional training, passion, and stage performance? A place where the next generation of Broadway Greats, Award-Winning Directors, and Top Tier Backstage Managers could take their first bow?

SCPA will provide technique-driven, hands on training in voice, stage acting, and musical theatre style dance. We will also offer masterclasses with professionals from regionally touring productions, and opportunities for young artists to shine right here at home.
